Happy Monday everyone! Today on Style Talk, we’re going to be interviewing Fashion Blogger Alexis, of ALEXIISTHERESE! Not only does she have amazing style, but the photos taken by her husband, Bryan are absolutely captivating! Today we’ll discover what inspires her personal style, her favorite trends and how she got into blogging. Towards the end of the post we will also be featuring some looks Alexis has created for us using She + Sky items! Here’s what she has to say:
HOW DID YOU GET INTO BLOGGING?
I’ve always had such a passion for all things fashion & beauty and I wanted to find a way to express myself creatively. I’ve been following several other blogs/vlogs for years and I was really inspired to do the same! I have to admit, it’s pretty terrifying to put yourself out there, but I am so glad I did.
WHAT IS THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF YOUR BLOG?
I’m primarily focused on showcasing fashion in unconventional settings. I love expressing my sense of style through creative photographs taken by my husband, Bryan Castillo (@bryanadamc).
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
You can’t really put my style into a box, it’s kind of all over the place. The best way to describe my style is trendy with an edge. I like to follow current trends but I put my own unique, edgy twist to them. Whether it’s adding a sleek leather jacket, suede fringe bootie or a completely backless jumpsuit. Also, I love black. Too much.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE FASHION TRENDS AT THE MOMENT?
I absolutely LOVE the athleisure trend that is super hot at the moment. Sporty crop tops with mesh leggings, running shoes, a cap and a leather jacket…doesn’t get any better than that! I hope this trend sticks around for a while because it’s so comfortable!
FASHION CAN OFTEN BE INFLUENCED BY THE ENVIRONMENT WE LIVE IN. DESCRIBE HOW IT LOOKS WHERE YOU LIVE AND THE TYPE OF WEATHER YOU EXPERIENCE THERE. DO YOU THINK THIS IMPACTS YOUR STYLE? HOW?
I live in the beautiful desert of Tucson, Arizona where 90% of the year it is HOT. The environment definitely impacts my style as we only really have a month or so of wearing coats and boots! Aside from the climate, the desert definitely impacts my style as well. I love to style outfits with a southwestern or bohemian vibe in mind.
